A public / private development of the Fitzsimons Redevelopment Authority and the University of Colorado Denver Anschutz Medical Center to provide new LEED Gold office / lab space. The initial tenants will be the undergraduate program for Bioengineering along with UCD commercial tenants, ClinLmmune and IC42. The building will be a four story brick / glass / structural steel building that has a flexible floor plate allowing for a mix of office and laboratory functions. The building will incorporate a state-of-the-art HAVC system that will include full exhaust air for lavatory requirements. The current tenant mix will include specialized facilities for clean-rooms, classrooms, teaching clean rooms core blood storage facilities along with full emergency power capabilities. An outdoor plaza will also be included. The Bioscience 2 building is being constructed under the state’s new Design-Build delivery method to accommodate the Universities two-year requirement from start of design to completion for their Bioengineering program
